Football fans are destroying the Cincinnati Bengals for their treatment of Joe Burrow after he suffered a concerning-looking foot injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Joe Burrow suffered the ankle injury after being sacked midway through the second quarter of Cincinnati’s season opener. Burrow was in visible pain and limped to the locker room, with second-stringer Jake Browning taking over at quarterback.
To make this matter even worse, the Bengals didn’t even have a cart out for their star signal-caller, who had to make the entire trip to the locker room on foot:
NFL fans destroyed the Bengals for their treatment of Joe Burrow:
“FUN FACT: The Cincinnati Bengals are only team in the NFL who doesn’t have a John Deere style gator cart for stadium maintenance or helping injured players off the field. Instead of spending 10k on a cart we do this with 275 million. Wasting Joe Burrow,” one fan said.
“Absolutely disgraceful ownership group in Cincy. They don’t care about Burrow,” said another.
“The Bengals organization is a joke,” a fan added.
“A real cheapskate franchise, owner should be ashamed,” a user said.
“Really tough look for the Bengals,” wrote a fan.
“Him and Jamar should leave together,” said a user.
Burrow suffered season-ending injuries in his 2020 rookie year (a torn MCL, ACL and PCL) and 2023 (a wrist injury). The Bengals only go as far as Burrow can take them, so a long-term injury could already spell the end of their Super Bowl 60 hopes.
