Luigi Mangione made a name for himself in the worst way possible last year when he allegedly murdered UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Mangione is charged with murder in New York in connection with the Dec. 4 shooting outside the New York Hilton Midtown in Manhattan.
During one of his earlier court appearances, Mangione could be heard saying, “It’s completely out of touch! It’s an insult to the intelligence of the American people!”
His life appeared to be spiraling out of control months before his alleged actions.
Luigi Mangione Admits To Being Assaulted By “Ladyboys”

Mangione claimed in a message to friends that he was roughed up by seven “ladyboys” during a night out in Thailand, the New York Times reported Tuesday.
The 27-year-old accused assassin allegedly bragged to friends over WhatsApp about the incident while backpacking through Asia before he returned to the US in July 2024, the New York Times added.
Luigi Mangione, who made a death plea to a federal judge earlier this year, would allegedly shoot Thompson dead just months later in December 2024.
In one of his alleged messages, Mangione claimed that he was roughed up by seven “ladyboys.” He even proved it by sending a photo of his bruised and scratched arm.
The Ivy League graduate’s solo trip involved befriending soccer player Christian Sacchini and an unidentified companion. They would soon meet at a Bangkok pub, where the soccer player revealed that the accused killer initially began talking about video games and Pokémon.
The good-hearted conversation then took a shocking turn as Mangione ranted about how “effed up” the US healthcare system is compared to Thailand.
“He couldn’t believe it,” Sacchini said while revealing how shocked Mangione became when noticing the low cost of an MRI overseas.
Once he returned to the United States, family and friends noticed that Luigi Mangione suddenly stopped responding to messages and became absent from social media.
Nobody had a clue what his plans were that would shock the nation.
Mangione was arrested in Pennsylvania following a massive manhunt after Thompson’s murder. Following his arrest, police found the words “delay,” “deny,” and “depose,” written on shell casings found at the scene.
