Internet lip readers think they detected what Travis Kelce said to heckling Buffalo Bills fans as he made his way to the locker room at halftime.
The most hyped game of the regular season has Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs visiting the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium. The Bills have claimed the last four regular-season meetings, but Kansas City has defeated Buffalo in the postseason four times since 2020.
As Kelce exited the field at halftime, CBS Sports’ cameras caught him exchanging words with some heckling Bills fans. Before you read what the lip readers detected, take a guess at what Kelce had to say:
According to Matthew Bové of WKBW, Kelce said to the fans, “I love it, I love it.” That’s the same message an internet lip reader picked up:
“you know what he said we all saw it on your telecast…he said “I Love it , I love it” as they were razzing him…no appears that’s what he said,” another user said.
There’s no love lost between the Chiefs and Bills, who have emerged as the AFC’s top two teams since Tom Brady left the New England Patriots in 2020. And as a central part of the rivalry, it’s no wonder that Kelce was getting it from angry Buffalo fans.
