Commanders vs Seahawks: A new slo-mo video shows the exact moment when Jayden Daniels’ arm awkwardly bent as he got tackled by Drake Thomas in the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game, and it unfortunately looks like a season-ending injury.
In a risky decision by Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn, Jayden Daniels and the starters on offense continued to play in the fourth quarter with their team trailing the Seattle Seahawks 38-7. Sure enough, Quinn’s decision backfired tremendously.
Daniels attempted to run the ball to the end zone, only to be tackled by Thomas. It was a clean and routine tackle by the Seattle linebacker, but Daniels’ arm awkwardly bent as he was falling to the ground.
Please be warned that the video may be difficult to watch and should be viewed at your own discretion:
Jeff Mueller, a doctor of physical therapy, believes Jayden Daniels dislocated his left elbow with a possible fracture. If that’s the case, that’ll unfortunately mark the end of his sophomore season.
Daniels also missed three games earlier this season with knee and hamstring injuries. Sunday’s 38-14 loss dropped Washington to 3-6 on the season, meaning they’ve already surpassed last year’s L total.
