One more infraction, and she may pay the ultimate cost.
Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics pundit Chemmy Alcott is skating on thin ice. The BBC had previously banned her from promoting her clothing range on television.
The 43-year-old competed in four Winter Olympics and seven World Championships in her life. Following her retirement, she moved into broadcasting, initially working as a commentator for Eurosport before joining the BBC in 2018.
She was so good that she became the lead presenter on Ski Sunday in 2021, replacing Graham Bell. However, things have not gone smoothly.
Chemmy Alcott Was Reprimanded For Her Attire

Alcott certainly knows how to make headlines. She was in tears earlier this month after Lindsey Vonn went down with yet another injury.
Since 2019, she has served as an ambassador for skiwear brand Snow Finel. In 2022, she was seen wearing knitwear from the brand while presenting Ski Sunday and covering the Winter Olympics. That is a big no-no.
While NBC and Peacock have full coverage of the Winter Olympics in the United States, the BBC has the rights overseas.
Chemmy Alcott was addressed by BBC executives, who gave her a “reminder of the BBC’s guidelines in relation to commercial conflicts of interest.”
BBC rules prevent presenters from “appearing on air wearing clothes or using products, goods or services which they have agreed, or been contracted, to promote or in which they have financial interest.”
12 months after that, he ended up in hot water again after wearing Snow Finel items during the first two episodes of a new Ski Sunday series. The BBC later confirmed the pundit and presenter had been “spoken to” and banned from wearing the garments.
A BBC representative announced, “Chemmy will not be wearing the brand in question on air again and has been spoken to about this.”
For Chemmy Alcott’s sake, hopefully, she doesn’t do it again, or she might find herself being fired from her cushy job.
