Patrick Mahomes is spilling some tea on what went down during his double date with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift earlier this summer.
The Chiefs quarterback and his wife Brittany Mahomes previously joined Taylor and Travis for a joint dinner date back in July, and now Patrick, 28, is sharing some insight about what it’s really like hanging out with the superstar couple.
“We were just having fun and enjoying a dinner just like anyone else would,” the football phenom told The Athletic in an interview published Tuesday, Aug. 20. “That’s what makes it so great. We don’t make it more than what it is; it’s just friendship, fellowship and enjoying everyone’s success.”
According to Patrick, who has won three Super Bowl rings with help from Travis, 34, his teammate and close pal has pretty much stayed the same, even despite the massive level of fame that comes with dating the “Anti-Hero” songstress.
“It’s a huge platform and everyone in the world can see it, deservedly so because of how great Taylor is, but it’s still Travis,” Patrick told the sports outlet. “I think that’s what makes it so cool, even though it’s such a big thing for the world.”
While Patrick and Travis’ friendship has remained the same throughout the whirlwind “Tayvis” romance, Taylor has been adding names to her list of gal pals, which now includes Brittany, 28, as well as some other Chiefs WAGs.
The 14-time Grammy winner even got some international support from her new bestie when Brittany and Patrick showed up to watch an Eras Tour performance in Amsterdam.
Brittany, a mom of two with another one on the way, took to Instagram at the time to share some photos from the European trip, including two snaps featuring Taylor, 34, from the two couples’ double date night.
“London & Amsterdam, a time was had🤍,” she wrote in a July 15 Instagram post.
Since then, Taylor has wrapped up the European leg of the Eras Tour, and won’t be taking the stage again until October, when she is scheduled to make a stop in Miami, Fla.
In the meantime, we expect to see a lot of Taylor—and Brittany—in the crowd supporting their beaus during the upcoming NFL season!
