There’s never a dull moment when Terry Bradshaw is around, but even for him, this start to “Fox NFL Sunday” was shocking.
“Good to be back, right?” Bradshaw said during the welcome greetings on “Fox NFL Sunday.”
“I haven’t been this excited since my aunt taught me how to play spin the bottle. This is a great day.”

The crew mostly took it well with a chuckle.
“Oh my god,” Howie Long said.
“Your aunt?” Jimmy Johnson added.
Although Michael Strahan was left speechless, he did not crack a smile and rolled his eyes closed in embarrassment.
Show host Kurt Menefee also stopped momentarily and said to Bradshaw, “We’re starting the season like that, huh?”
Strahan, sporting an eye-popping purple suit, regained his composure to change the subject and told Jimmy Johnson, “You look good.”
The show also included Bradshaw contemplating wearing nail polish in a segment about Caleb Williams, the Bears’ rookie QB, who does so for every game.
“What if I’d have painted my fingernails in 1970? Black on this side and gold on this side, how would that have…” Bradshaw said.
He was interrupted by fellow analyst Howie Long, who “was hoping you would just stop and not even think about that.”

Bradshaw, 76, has been with “Fox NFL Sunday” since the show’s inception in 1994 and once said he would retire in 2011 when his contract was set to expire.
Bradshaw rethought that decision to “leave it to the young guys,” and 16 years later is going strong in year 30 with the network with no end in sight.
Strahan has been on the program for 16 years, joining the show after the Giants’ Super Bowl 42 victory over the undefeated Patriots.
