Shock moment Houston Texans star SHOVES his coach seconds into NFL playoff game vs Kansas City Chiefs

Texans cornerback Kris Boyd had a nightmarish start to his team’s divisional round playoff clash at the Chiefs as he committed a massive penalty and then shoved his own coach.

Following a 63-yard kickoff return to open the game for the Chiefs, Boyd tossed his helmet to the ground as he appeared to prematurely celebrate forcing a fumble on Nikko Remigio at the end of the return (the ball was actually recovered by the Chiefs).

Boyd’s helmet throw then tacked a 15-yard penalty onto the return, which unsurprisingly left Houston special teams coach Frank Ross incensed before Boyd shoved him in a surreal scene.

The defensive back continued yelling at Ross after pushing him, leading to the coach putting his hand on the player’s chest to calm him down.

Despite the Chiefs taking their first snap of the game at Houston’s 13-yard-line, the two-time defending champions were held to a field goal.

Nonetheless, Boyd was slammed online for his behavior early in the game.

‘You got to cut [Kris] Boyd on the spot,’ Barstool Sports boss Dave Portnoy said on X.

‘What the f*** is Chris Boyd doing? He’s f***ing done right?,’ a fan asked.

Another fan called him a ‘stupid and undisciplined punk’ and ‘an embarrassment to the entire city of Houston.’

However, Fox Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz defended Boyd.

‘Seems like a big deal, but it’s not: This is the playoffs! Emotions run high and dudes are passionate!,’ he said.

Others also compared his actions to Travis Kelce’s shove of Andy Reid in last year’s Super Bowl.

‘Travis kelce pushed Andy Reed and it’s ‘passion for the game’ Kris Boyd pushes a coach and it’s ‘he should be kicked off the team ‘ lmao,’ one said.
