Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes Announces Simple Reason For Travis Kelce Change

The Kansas City Chiefs made it to yet another AFC Championship game after defeating the Houston Texans 23-14 at Arrowhead Stadium, with Travis Kelce giving us a timely reminder of his talents.

Some were skeptical that Kelce still had enough juice in his aging legs to be a dangerous factor in the game.

Well, he was. Kelce had his highest yards total of the season, totaling 117 yards along with a touchdown to be the driving force behind the Chiefs’ win.

For Patrick Mahomes, he offered up an explanation as to why Kelce seems to always have big games in the postseason.

“I mean, it’s simple, people say it’s real, it’s big-time players make big-time plays in big-time games, that’s just how simple it is,” Mahomes said. “He’s one of those guys, he doesn’t let the moment be bigger than what it is, he just goes out there and execute at a high level just like he does in a regular season. He just does that a little bit higher intensity.”

So Kelce just let all those doubters know that plenty is still left in the tank as the Chiefs chase a historic three-peat.

Having a 49-yard reception in the first half also shows that when he gets up to speed, Kelce can still rumble like he used to – albeit a tad slower.

With the Chiefs now into yet another AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills, Kelce again looms as a key weapon defenses must stop.
